When I started reading SPN fic, I was a total het-head. Everything I read and wrote was het. I wasn't opposed to slash, it just wasn't my thing. When I started looking for SPN fic, Wincest was ALL I could find. I just thought, 'If I'm going to read in this fandom, I'm going to have to get used to it, I guess.' When it's well-written, it makes sense to me. Sometimes it makes so much sense that I have to remind myself that EVERYONE doesn't agree.
I host viewing parties every week at my house. The people who show up are fans of the show, but not a part of fandom. The idea of Wincest is just ludicrous to them so I have to watch myself and not squeal when something particularly Sam/Dan happens!
