Big Bang and Other Fic-Related Randomness

Hey all!

Feels like forever since I posted. (It's probably been something closer to a week, but time moves differently in lj land, it seems.) Things around here have been NUTS. Between my family coming into town for a baby shower, starting a new something (it's a little too early to call it a relationship), and general RL nonsense, my writing has gotten pushed to the side a bit.

BUT. . .

With the claiming of Big Bang artists yesterday, I'm feeling recharged and excited! I'm about half-way through my re-writes (hoping to finish up tonight and Saturday afternoon), and my artist? Y'all, she is gonna blow your minds! I can't wait to be able to reveal this story, and everything that goes along with it.

I do have a couple of other stories I'm working on: an adaptation of the movie Adam, at the behest of krisd81, and a surfer fic with a bad-ass soundtrack, courtesy of taintedlove.

With Big Bang coming, I might hold off on posting anything long until the fall, but hopefully, I will get some One Shot ideas in the interim. My brain's been a barren desert where bunnies die of dehydration for about a month now. Maybe I'll post for prompts soon. Or maybe I'll stop thinking about anything else until my BB is done. That seems like the better idea. ;)

Alright, I'm going to slink back to my corner and work on Scattergories topics. If anyone asks, it's totally for work and has nothing to do with kiwiana.



(OH! Does anyone know of a J2 adaptation of the HBO series Entourage? Or anything remotely close in concept?)

Thanks! I love my family, but when we're all in one place for extended periods of time? I get a little claustrophobic!

And it's absolutely KILLING me not to be able to say anything about my fic, but there's a side of me that's relishing the build up and the surprise and the excitement of everything surrounding BB. I'm so excited for several of the stories!

I claimed my story yesterday and are so anxious to read the story and see who the author is!
Hope the story will inspire me so that I can deliver good art to the story. I don't wanna let the poor author down.

It's funny, because you make the claim, and then you just have to sit around and wait to find out who you claimed. *headdesk* At least, on our end, the authors know which description was their own, so they know who they're going to be dealing with.

I'm sure your stuff is going to be great - you're one of the most meticulous people I know when it comes to your own photography, so I can't imagine you being any less particular with your digital work. You have a great eye, so I'm excited to see what you come up with!

The last story (Winchester & Colt) is art I am really proud of. She is writing a sequel, and I'll have to tell her that I want to make art for that too :-) She is not using that for BB - thank god.. because I wanted a NEW challenge for this years BB, but I don't want anyone else to make art for that 'verse, because the W&C art is kind of my baby! :-) LOL

I was just talking about that art with someone the other day! I love Jared's mask (or he's probably Sam in that fic, huh? I haven't read it), and I also really like the story dividers that you made. I don't usually notice dividers, but I really like those.

He is Jared - but acting as the superhero Sam Colt! :-) You should read it! It is so funny! I don't like superheroes - I only picked the story because I thought the art would be fun to make - but OMG did I love the story! One of the few I read more than once! I actually printed it out yesterday to give to a friend that doesn't read fanfiction - but it's a must-read, so I just told her to DO IT!! LOL

Big Bang \o/ I can't wait. I was reading some summaries last night and some of them sound pretty cool. LOL! there's a Genie!Jared one that sound like the best kind of crack.

Ohhh, a J2 version of Entourage? let me know if you find it. It sounds like a great idea of J2 fic.

Doesn't it? I haven't been able to find one, but if it exists, I desperately want to read it. If it doesn't exist. Well, I can't think about adding to this plate just yet.

I saw the Jeanie!Jared one! I can't wait to check that one out! There are a few I'm really excited about - if it wasn't for the fact that I still have writing to do, I would be ready for this thing to start TOMORROW!

You're gonna be fine with the art, bb. You enjoy doing it, and the authors will help you (hopefully) with what they want to see. I can't wait to see what you crank out!

And for the record, I didn't say I won't write any fic until fall. I just might wait to post the bigger stuff, so it doesn't get lost in the BB shuffle, ya know? I don't know - I may change my mind on that later.

I am, indeed, doing Big Bang. I wrote it back in the winter, and am working on re-writes now. It's exciting!

um. they could sit uncomfortably in the chairs at the end of terminal B and drink starbucks or have coldstone from the little vendor there. or they could wander back and forth between the parking garage and the airport through that little hallway with the weird ceiling lights and occasional light shows. or they could sit by the six (six!) luggage carousels in the basement! or they could have mcdonalds in that waitng area before the terminals that has uncomfortable couches and weird art!

there is no END of things to do at the indy airport, my friend!
