So I have an afternoon off, and I told myself I was going to finish a Disclaimer OneShot, but now I'm all distracted by Merlin. I'm only twenty minutes into the first episode, but so far so good. I like it.

Anyway, I just wanted to take a second to thank everyone who's been so kind in their responses to Coda, and also to WELCOME my new friends! This entire Big Bang experience was insanely positive, and I appreciate all of you so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

OH, and one more thing: I'm interesting in checking out some other prompt and challenge communities. Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

SHORT prompts. Like little one shots. Comment fic. Little things.

Can't I just have a little, tiny bit?

Maybe not, but you can't resist The Chad.

That is one fabulous, antlered Jared you got there.

I am sufficiently impressed.

Hmmm, I don't really have a recommendation, but you may want to look at the community profile of [livejournal.com profile] 50_lovequotes, ignore the actual challenge, and scroll down to the Themes. 50 schmoopy, romantic, cliché quotes about love and romance. (Just the perfect, potentially inspirational read for a hot summer afternoon for writers who want to think about schmoopy happily-ever-after scenes to put their characters in. ;)

I'm saving Coda for a long train ride, btw. It's safely put away in a folder already (and very easily, too, thanks to the file you provided!) ;)

The credit for the PDF goes to Maichan, but I can't wait to hear what you think of it!

And I'm going to check the quotes out and see if anything strikes me - thanks for the heads up!

I just saw that you posted Merlin wallpapers! I only got up through episode 5, so I'm still a newbie, but I'm enjoying it so far - some shows are just meant to be slashed. Sheesh - they don't even try for subtlety.

Having been busy with family events and an Adam Lambert concert, I missed you posting your BigBang! I'll run over right now and check it out. Glad you had fun, and hope the vacation/bus trip was relaxing.

How was ADAM? Was the show fabulous?

The bus was alright - not exactly what I expected, but not better or worse, either. I made it everywhere I was supposed to go, nobody took my stuff, and I would totally do it again.

Adam was awesome, amazing,...I could just keep going. More than anything, he looked like he was having so much fun up there. He sounded wonderful, and I came to love a couple songs I hadn't completely adored before (Sure Fire Winners, Sleepwalker) and he opened with three that aren't on the album (Voodoo, Down the Rabbit Hole, and Ring of Fire). If you want details, I offer my post here (http://sothcweden.livejournal.com/7111.html), and for any useful commentary about the set list, this article (http://content.usatoday.com/communities/idolchatter/post/2010/07/adam-lambert-brings-his-glam-nation-tour-to-nashvilles-ryman-auditorium/1) is great and has a link to some concert vids on YT.

I didn't know Adam had seen and tweeted about the protesters (the crazies from WBC) until I saw a comment online Sunday night, and you'd never have known it from his concert. I just wish nobody had seen them, since all they do is spread bad feeling. I hate that he and the band will probably remember that more than the thousands of fans in Kansas/Missouri who love his music and think he's awesome, even though we were as loud and supportive as we could be, imho.

I am loving Coda so far. I got through part one last night, then stopped to look at the art and the website and got distracted by the awesome. But it looks like another really good story from you.

The Coda website is TOTALLY distracting - I can understand that!

"Surefire Winners" and "Sleepwalker" are actually two of my favorite songs from that album - especially "Sleepwalker" - I'm so jealous! Gah.

I think it's funny that the protesters think they're making great strides for their cause, but all they're really doing is drawing a shit ton of publicity for someone they claim to hate. Way to go, haters! I wouldn't worry, though - from everything I've seen, he's totally a guy who dwells more on the love than the hate. I'm sure you guys are what he's going to remember!

OH GOD... guiltiest of all guilty pleasures. As a historian and literary scientist I'm not even allowed to admit that I know OF the show, but ... dun... dun... dun. Arthur Applebutt and Merlin Neckkerchief. *howl* *scuttles away fast*

I'm totally enjoying it so far! Something about Merlin bothered me at first, but I never figured out what it was and now he's grown on me. :)

Oh God Merlin ? What's wrong with me and this show ?? I can't even watch an entire episode, I never get to the end...
Oh well, I'd rather have you writing a on shot for the disclaimer verse ;o)

The weird thing about me and Merlin is that I don't like period shows. I usually avoid them like the plague, but there's something about the BBC, I guess. Robin Hood and now Merlin totally suck me in.

(The OneShot is close to done. I just have to write the ending and then get a beta to look it over. I hope to have it to you by tomorrow.)

Great can't wait to read it !
Could you do me a favor ? I posted this meme on my LJ. I usually don't do memes but this one is to know my Flist a little bit better. I would love for you to take 5 minutes to show me who you are ;o)

I read shit at the kink memes all the time, but I never see anything that I want to write, ya know? Maybe someday something will catch my eye, though. Ya never know.

You should check out [livejournal.com profile] spn_30snapshots! That challenge would probably be perfect for oneshots. And they have awesome prompt tables, in my opinion. :)

(If I can ever get my act together to actually write again someday, that's the one I plan on doing.)
