Now that my spn_30snapshots table is finished, I need to focus my attention on the next thing on my plate. (Check out Conversations in a Coffee Shop if you've been waiting for it to be complete before reading!)

Fortunately, I have today off so I'm hoping to get some outlining done for my spnthreesome fic. I have the idea and the basic concept, but I need to nail down the specifics.

The other things I want to do is start writing for my schmoop_bingo card. I'm asking you guys for a little help on this one, though.



So I have a few ideas for some of these prompts, but I haven't really thought much about any of them yet. So I'm asking what you guys want to see. I'm not even sure which lines I want to fill and I obviously can't promise to write every suggestion, but I'm just curious to find out how you'd like to see some of these take shape. I can write in a verse or something completely new. So let me know what you think! Do any of them jump out at you?

I know Disclaimer!boys aren't first in mind when it comes to schmoop, but I can't help it. ;) It doesn't have to be typical schmoop, right?

I know you want to write bigger Brayden fic one day, so maybe that won't work, but:
Baby's first holiday/celebration - Jared and Jensen's reaction when Brayden's child is born.
Meeting the parents - Brayden's future wife reaction on J2 and Brayden's relationship with them (I know you wrote a little about how other people see them, but that just came to my mind).

Apart from those two, I think "Holiday - one person is sick" could work in this verse, too. Jared with flu, maybe?

Here's my problem: I swore that I was absolutely not going to write a kid younger into this verse if that kid was younger than Brayden at the start. I might be able to do a Meet the Parents scenario, though. I'm not sure how schmoopy that would be - I'll have to think about it. Hm...

You know, my definition of schmoop is very wide. For me it's schmoop when disclaimer!boys are just looking at each other with this "you're the one" look and they have it often, so I'm happy. :) Schmoop isn't all about serenades and candlelight dinners, so I wouldn't worry about how much schmoop there'd be. ;)

I'd love anything from this verse anyway, it's one of my all time favourites. :)

I'm right there with ya - I'm more about the schmoopy emotions - the guys melting into each other and whatnot - than I the big romantic gestures. I'll figure something out, I'm sure, but it's not going to be easy on those grand gestures.

OMG, serenading is the one that makes me the most uncomfortable. Even moreso than writing any kind of kidfic or a marriage proposal. (I will read both of those, for the record, but they're just not my sweet spot when I write.) Have you ever had anyone actually sing a song to you? I'm sure some people like it, but it is the most uncomfortable thing in the world for me. Even when the song isn't for me. Just...so weird. It'll probably come out kind of cracktastic if I do it.

I shouldn't talk anyway, since I decided to pass on schmoop bingo because there's so many I wouldn't be comfortable writing. So go you for being willing to stretch yourself! Especially since your versions of the boys often don't lend themselves to schmoop, which is one of the reasons I like them. :)

I'm a much bigger fan of the anti-schmoopy actions that end in super-schmoopy emotions. I'm not a romantic person, so I'm just afraid I'm going to end up sounding like I'm mocking the prompts. I really don't want to do that, so I'm really going to have to work at it. Now that it's a challenge, though, I won't be able to walk away until I'm satisfied. Damn my competitive spirit.

Cuddling seems like a popular choice. I'm realizing that I am not a very romantic person - most of the "traditional romance" things (i.e. cuddling, candlelight, serenade) do not appeal to me. It's going to be a challenge to write them without going over the top. I guess that's the challenge of it.

Imagine with me, if you will, Jared comes home a day early from a week-long business trip. He's tired and trudging up the stairs, anxious to take a shower and sex up his boyfriend. Autumn holiday/festival: Well, since they are big fans of horror. Disclaimer!Jared and Chad building a haunted house for Halloween and every year their plans get bigger and crazier.

Baby's first holiday/celebration or First holiday as a couple: Yea, ok this totally indulges my love of Disclaimer!Christmas but how about Jared's never been much for celebrating holidays/hates the holidays but Jensen really had good memories of Christmas so he comes up with their now famous party for all their family of friends. I just kinda want Jared standing there staring at a Christmas tree in his living room scowling at it but secretly loving it.


Long-lost love: Oh, this one sounds good. I have no specific verse in mind but yea, love that prompt

All the moms got a cheesy song and a rose and we got to hang out runing around the city all night.

Yea, I'm not big on the whole romantic serenade thing but doing it for fun for the moms? yea, so much fun! everyone took part so you sometimes ran into other people from school singing like across the street or something. Some groups went all out and like hired Mariachi bands and stuff. At like 8 am we'd always end up at my friend D's house with her dad making us pancakes. The school still promotes this so it's great when mother's day roll around and you hear random groups of kids singing around the neighborhood at odd hours.

As much as I liked your Disclaimer ‘verse, I would really enjoy seeing more of the boys from Creative Control, Coda and/or your Coffee ‘verse.

And after I said that, Disclaimer would totally rock for a Halloween fic and a meet the parents fic.

Hot cocoa makes me think whip cream and then my mind goes into the gutter.

Summerfest is a huge music festival in the Midwest and one of the stages is for unsigned bands, it could be a perfect setting for Coda boys.

Coffee Verse boys will definitely be showing up, as will the Creative Control boys. I'm not sure about Coda - I'm still not sure I want to mess around much with them, but it's a possibility. :)

The Disclaimer Halloween fic is going to happen, and I think the hot cocoa is kind of tailor-made for the Coffee Verse boys.

Not sure if you want to write more Disclaimer (sounds like you've got a couple of ideas already) but reading through the list I was thinking that you've not really told us about the early months in Disclaimer!J2's relationship.

I know we got the first days in the Prequel but I'm wondering about the first months. I think they both mention that they've never done real relationship type things before so I could imagine one of them thinking that the other is expecting schmoopy lovey-dovey stuff and doing something completely over the top and fucking it up royal. For some reason this -

Just gives me the idea that one of them decides they have to 'woo' the other and ends up burning the meal and setting the curtains on fire (possibly as a start to why they almost always get take-out).

I like the idea of going back to those early days. I'm not sure either of them was ever big on the romantic gestures, but they absolutely made some missteps in getting to know each other - I think I'm going to try to explore that a little bit. They don't really cuddle, but I did allude once to them being all tangled up on the couch, making out for hours, back in those early days.
