I got my assignment this morning! I was nervous (still am a little because I don't want to disappoint the person I'm writing for), but I have decided that I am not going to let myself be intimidated. They say it's best to write what you know, and I know f/f relationships - I can do this! (Pardon me while I take a second to pep-talk myself.)

Here's the question, because I have a few options here: Do I write RPF or do I really challenge myself and write my first SPN fic? And if I decide to step out of my comfort zone and write SPN, do I write established female characters, or do I try my hand at girl!Sam or girl!Dean? Oh, the decisions.

In other news, I did get half of my threesome fic finished last night. It only took me four different starts to figure out exactly which path I wanted it to take. /o\ I also, for some random reason that only my brain can understand, started a new Disclaimer story. It doesn't fill any of my bingo prompts or anything - it just kind of popped into my head while I was watching television.

Alright, so I'm going to finish catching up on e-mails from last night, and maybe try to look like I'm getting some work done. What are you guys doing today?

I don't know about anyone else but I really like girl!Sam or girl!Dean, either born that way or changed because of a curse. Looking forward to seeing what you do.

I think you must take that step out of the comfort zone and write the established female characters from SPN. Girl!Sam and Girl!Dean haven't ever really grabbed me. The idea just seems so strange to me. So let's see Meg/Ellen, or Jo/Ruby or Bela/Lilith or Lisa/Jessica... Let's see Tessa/Everyone. I love that character! Bring it!

You can do this, I'm sure. :) I'd vote for trying to step out of your comfort zone and try writing SPN fic, but I think RPF is good, too. Whatever you feel like writing, I guess. If you decide on SPN, I think established female characters are better choice than girl!Sam or girl!Dean.

As some others have mentioned, I'd love to see you push out of your comfort zone and attempt a Spn fic. Additionally, I'd love to see Bela somewhere in there. There so little written about her because everyone seemed to hate her, but I loved her character. I know a lot of people like it, but girl!/Dean/Sam has never really done much for me. It's just odd to me, and I can't wrap my head around it. lol. As for me, I'm attempting to write some comment fics and beat this horrid case of writer's block I've got goin' on.

I can't wait for some new Disclaimer!Verse ficcage! =)

I actually find it hard to visualise girl sam/girl Dean, but if this is for someone who doesn't know the fandom give it a go, you got nothing to loose really..or have I in all my truly awesome blondeness misread this entirely!!! lol, I am prone to it at times. But write what you're comfortable writing and save the first times for things that don't matter so much?

SPN seems to be the consensus. I'm going to look over the prompt again tonight and see what I can come up with. I'm more nervous about those characters being in-character - with RPS, there's a little more freedom to move them around and make them different. It'll be a challenge, though. I like challenges.

This is for the femmeslash exchange, which means that I wrote out some pairings that I like, and some fic I would like to see - someone is going to write that for me. In turn, I'm going to write something based on someone else's prompts and preferences. This person doesn't know I'm writing for her, but she'll find out in November, when the story goes up. So. Much. Pressure. Writing for someone else's enjoyment - but I like the pressure. It's been good for me so far, making me write things I normally wouldn't.

I totally understand that f/f isn't some people's thing, so I get that you'll be skipping that one. The threesome fic pairing is Jensen/Danneel/Jared AU, so if that's not your thing, I get that, too.
