Disclaimer Comment Fic

Okay, so I'm about to get ready to head to work, but I wanted to let you all know that the next installment in the Disclaimer Verse is coming. I'll post it on Monday, and I'm saving it for reasons you will find out on that day.

In the meantime, I'm itching to write something short and sweet . . . Last time I offered up comment fic, it wasn't that specific, but this time, I really wanna write some short Disclaimer. Conversations, snippets, nothing over 1,000 words. I'm going to try to keep them to 500. So don't prompt me with something epic, but if there's a short little something you'd like to see, let me know and I'll try to get it up in the next forty-eight to seventy-two hours, depending on the demand.

I don't put time limits on most of these posts, but this one will close on Sunday, April 11.

OH, and just so you know, it doesn't have to be J2. I'll write anyone in the Disclaimer Verse.

Somehow, he makes it through dinner and checks the microwave to see that he only has about five more hours until he can go to bed and toss and turn through the night without his rock hard personal pillow. This is awesome.

Around nine, he pokes his head in the pool house. “You wanna watch a movie?”

Brayden is stretched out on the couch, some faceless blond chick just laying on top of him, watching reality television. “Kinda busy.”

Well, fuck that.

He wanders back to his office and considers for a second how pathetic he is. Oh, it wasn't the first time. That was understandable. But after seven years of this shit, he should have something else to do. The problem is that even when he tries to lock himself away in the office and work, he keeps thinking about how Jared's not watching a movie in the theater, and not getting something out of the refrigerator. He's not working out or painting in the basement, or playing video games with Brayden out in the pool house. He's not waiting for Jensen to come to bed.

It's weird that he thinks more about Jared when he's not around than he does when they're together, isn't it?

At eleven thirty, his phone buzzes with a text message. Miss me yet?

He fires back with Not even a little.

Liar. There's a Jay-shaped hole in your heart, isn't there?

Yes. Because I'm a flaming homosexual. He laughs when he hits send and leans back in his chair to wait for the next response.

Jared doesn't disappoint. Hope so. Things should always be the way I left them when I get back.

The phone rings while he's trying to send a response. “You're an idiot,” Jensen smiles in lieu of a 'hello.'

“I miss you, too,” Jared retaliates, voice deadpan.

“When's your flight get in tomorrow?”

“Two fifteen, I think.”

Only fourteen more hours to go. And he'll sleep through at least half of those, so . . . it's doable.

“Dude, my hotel smells like fish.”

Jared continues telling Jensen all about the art he did, and the people he's seen. He talks about the stench in the air outside the hotel, and the guy at the front desk who grabbed his ass when he checked in. And then he soothes Jensen's jealous temper by telling him all of the things he wants Jensen to do to his ass when he gets home.

At three, Jared calls back to let Jensen know that he just got back from a party in the lead singer's room and he's heading to bed. When he thinks Jensen's drifted far enough into dream land that he won't remember this conversation, he says, “I miss you, man. Fuckin' weird here without you.”

Thank YOU. I think I'm going to be glad that I already have the one for Monday done . . . this is a lot of Disclaimer I'm writing lately.

The boys are going to need a rest! I'm glad you like them, though.
