This is the post where I say WELCOME to my new friends. If you've lurked around here for any amount of time, you might find it hard to believe that I am a little shy when it comes to friending new people, but I have a hard time reaching out like that. I am really glad that y'all don't (or that you do a better job of getting over it than I do!).

I'm not all that comfortable talking about myself, but I thought I'd throw a couple of quick facts out as an introduction.

* I'm (almost) 31, a librarian, and live in Indiana.

* SPN is my only fandom at the moment, but I'm crazy into watching White collar (Matt Bomer owns my soul!) and Psych. Those are my summer happy places. For those to whom it matters, in regards to the show, I'm about as bi-bro as a girl can possibly get. I started out as a total Dean girl, but that has shifted and changed over time. Now I couldn't pick a brother if you paid me in cash and/or sexual favors.

* At this point, you'll only find RPF on my journal. Writing SPN fic intimidates me, quite frankly. I've been signing up for more exchanges and challenges lately, trying to expand my horizons and stretch my comfort zone a little bit. It's ridiculously easy for me to fall into a rut, to write what comes easy, but I am doing my damnedest to break out of that and tap into new creativity.

* I'm a music whore - I'll listen to just about anything. In the last week, I've been rocking out to The White Stripes, car-dancing to Lady Gaga, and mellowing out to Jeremy Camp.

* My faith is incredibly important to me, but you won't find much talk of it here. Everyone has their own thoughts and beliefs; I respect that.

* There is nothing in the world more fascinating/frustrating/precious to me than my family. I have one younger brother and one younger sister. My nieces and nephews - I have two of each - are everything to me.

* I've never really stated this explicitly, but concrit is always welcome here. Anonymously or otherwise, as long as you're respectful about it, I am open to anything that helps me grow as a writer. Along the same lines, any questions about characterization, plot, or stylistic choices are encouraged. I am happy to discuss anything with anyone. You can always e-mail me at raeschae @ gmail, too.

I think that's the basics, but if you have any other questions (whether you're a new friend or have been around for awhile), feel free to ask here! I'll answer anything.

For my schmoop_bingo card I have secret admirer and I had thought of having Jared leave a note about them. BUT THEN I DIDN'T.

Ha! You totally should! Though, in my mind, that note would be totally sarcastic and mocking.

But it's JARED and he can say stupid things with such sincerity! He'd write something like, "You're beautiful in brick" and Jensen would rip the note up because he thinks it's mocking him, but Jared legit thinks that! Of course, Jared also thinks that he's style-concious. Bless him.

Oh, he tries. Give him a break! Pink is totally fashion-forward!!

Yeah, those dimples let him get away with a lot. I bet he wears white after Labor Day. Actually no, cause white isn't colorful enough for him.

Well, you're making waiting until I can head back up to the hospital better, so I like to think it's a give and take. ;)

He seems to prefer solid black, V-neck tee shirts as of late. Not colorful, but apparently more flattering to his enormous arms, neck, and shoulders.

I noticed that! And idk why, but I kind of miss his ridiculous button-downs. Just not the plaid ones he wore to conventions. Gross.

Really, he should consider loin cloths. Or possibly kilts, and wear them the proper Scottish way.

He does seem to be a big fan of the plaid shirt. He'd fit in with the farmers around here!
