I think he's not as worried about spoiling Brayden as he doesn't want Brayden to turn into a kid who expects to be spoiled. He knows Jensen's going to do it - back in the first story, it talks about how Jensen spends money like water and Jared pinches every penny. But I think they probably agree that it's not so bad when they buy him the best boarding equipment and the video games he wants and stuff, because he doesn't really expect them to.
Jared doesn't want him to get to the place where he hates them because he can't have four hundred people at his party, with glitter-saturated go-go dancers in cages and a seven-foot ice sculpture where he still stands around outside afterward and bitches because the car they bought him is the wrong shade of red. That's all. :) I think, secretly, Jared just really hates the show "My Super Sweet 16."
