I think maybe I'll actually do this, though I'm not sure yet what I'd prompt claim. I'm feeling mildly post-apocalyptic, but then whenever I'm called upon to come up with an idea in this fandom, my mood always turns out post-apocalyptic.
I really like the idea of writers and artists claiming at the same time and then choosing whether to work together (or not!) afterward. It leaves the whole process so much more open-ended and fair, I think.

DUDE! Post-apocalypic is right in my wheelhouse right now! We're hosting a Post-Ap book discussion at the library this spring (The Stand, The Road, and Hunger Games), so I'm all about it. There are so many cool options!
You should definitely sign up! As was pointed out to me when I was waffling about BB this year: There's no penalty for NOT turning in a rough draft if the inspiration doesn't hit you. Also, I would love to see what you come up with - I always love your art - so I might be a little selfish is begging!
Is this where I "pursuade" you? Because the fic for this challenge only has to be 1K, which is the standard size of my comment fic! You can totally do that and still swing BB, and if you need a cheerleader, you know where to find me!
Only 1k, you say? I may or may not have just been going through my collection of John Hughes movies...because Jared sure does look pretty doggone good in pink and I could rewrite the thing so that Ducky could come out on top. Er...well, you know what I mean.
Looks like I hardly need persuading. Maybe just a gentle prod in the right direction. So you're thinking about When Harry Met Sally? That'll be wonderful!
I've been wanting to do it for awhile now - I'm not sure if I'll participate because I've never been a challenge mod before, so that might overwhelm me - so this might be the right opportunity. We'll have to see what shakes out when I outline it. ;D
I would really like to do this! I've got a loverly prompt but I dunno how to go about doing it! anyway, I joined the community and such. I'd love to see what everyone comes up with! There's sooooooooooooooo many talented writers in this fandom (you, Rae, certainly among the best :D).
