So back when I finished the rough draft of this story, I sent it off to ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
neutraldeviance to get an opinion as to whether it was anything people would actually want to read. Also, to get a male perspective, because let's face it, I'm a girl. And I write like a girl. And when creating a decidedly not-girl world, I wanted to make sure that I wasn't fucking everything all up and making my boys too, well, girlie.
Anyway, he read the story, offered his input, and then went above and beyond the call of duty by compiling a soundtrack that rocked my damn socks off. I don't know about y'all, but I'm inspired by a lot of things when I write. Photos are one thing - which is why I did the manips you see in the graphic before I started writing the story, so I could actually see who I was writing about.
But music is probably the biggest muse I have, and when I listened to this playlist the first time, it completely breathed life into the world that I had created in simple words. Either by bringing Slinging Ink and Ollie to life, or by actually describing specific scenes and character mindsets, I couldn't be happier with the selections he has made here.
