This is the post where I say WELCOME to my new friends. If you've lurked around here for any amount of time, you might find it hard to believe that I am a little shy when it comes to friending new people, but I have a hard time reaching out like that. I am really glad that y'all don't (or that you do a better job of getting over it than I do!).

I'm not all that comfortable talking about myself, but I thought I'd throw a couple of quick facts out as an introduction.

* I'm (almost) 31, a librarian, and live in Indiana.

* SPN is my only fandom at the moment, but I'm crazy into watching White collar (Matt Bomer owns my soul!) and Psych. Those are my summer happy places. For those to whom it matters, in regards to the show, I'm about as bi-bro as a girl can possibly get. I started out as a total Dean girl, but that has shifted and changed over time. Now I couldn't pick a brother if you paid me in cash and/or sexual favors.

* At this point, you'll only find RPF on my journal. Writing SPN fic intimidates me, quite frankly. I've been signing up for more exchanges and challenges lately, trying to expand my horizons and stretch my comfort zone a little bit. It's ridiculously easy for me to fall into a rut, to write what comes easy, but I am doing my damnedest to break out of that and tap into new creativity.

* I'm a music whore - I'll listen to just about anything. In the last week, I've been rocking out to The White Stripes, car-dancing to Lady Gaga, and mellowing out to Jeremy Camp.

* My faith is incredibly important to me, but you won't find much talk of it here. Everyone has their own thoughts and beliefs; I respect that.

* There is nothing in the world more fascinating/frustrating/precious to me than my family. I have one younger brother and one younger sister. My nieces and nephews - I have two of each - are everything to me.

* I've never really stated this explicitly, but concrit is always welcome here. Anonymously or otherwise, as long as you're respectful about it, I am open to anything that helps me grow as a writer. Along the same lines, any questions about characterization, plot, or stylistic choices are encouraged. I am happy to discuss anything with anyone. You can always e-mail me at raeschae @ gmail, too.

I think that's the basics, but if you have any other questions (whether you're a new friend or have been around for awhile), feel free to ask here! I'll answer anything.

Mostly it just makes me think dirty thoughts about Sam's...let's call it enthusiasm.

HAHA. Now I'm getting My Bloody Valentine thoughts.

Not gonna lie - "Wait your turn" kind of turns me to mush every time!

LOL I'm pretty sure that line caused wet panties.

But I was actually thinking of the opening scene... >_> I'm sick. I know!

Oh. Um, yeah. That's pretty much the grossest episode ever, in my opinion. But whatever gets ya there, man.

LOL well I'm not thinking of that scene from an... arousing point of view. You said the icon made you think of Sam's eagerness, and they were uh, eager.

But yeah, really gross episode. Except I found the fork in the head in 3.03 and basically all of 3.15 to be grosser than this ep.

Huh. 3.15 didn't bother me at all. I think it was the sound effects in 5.14 that killed me. The smacking sounds of people eating SO LOUDLY. *shudder*

Really? Oh god 3.15 creeps me out STILL and I've only seen it that one time! But MBV, I dunno man, it was just an amazing episode for me. I love Famine, he's such a badass.

Fair enough. I thought all of the horsemen were pretty bad ass.

Heh, me too! But especially Famine and Death for me. Pestilence reminded me of Jim Carrey as the Riddler. IMO the Horsemen as a whole were a million times cooler/creepier than Lucifer.

Pestilence reminded me of Jim Carrey as the Riddler. Yes! And I had a hard time thinking of him as anything but the neighbor in Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. (I'm such a dork.)

I agree, though - way cooler than Lucifer!

Hah, I haven't seen Honey I Shrunk the Kids in forever! I'm pretty sure I've forgetten everything about it apart from the, y'know, kid shrinking.

To be fair, the kid shrinking is the best part.
