So, I have spoken with my [livejournal.com profile] spn_reversebang artist (You guys, I'm SO EXCITED!) and got that story kicked off yesterday afternoon. I also go my [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_xmas assignment last night! Oh, I can't wait to get started on that one - There Will Be Schmoop. My femslash exchange is giving me fits, but I think I'll be able to wrap it up before November. I was looking at my list of things to do and while I don't feel like I'm overwhelmed, I do feel like I have got to stop signing up for things!

Also, I feel like I've been a terrible fandom friend lately. I haven't been posting much and I feel like I've been in my own little world for a few weeks now. Between my sister having her baby and then nearly everyone in my family having birthdays and other big events in the month of September, it's been non-stop around here. I keep thinking, 'Remember when I used to blow off everything and just lock myself away to write and talk to people online? Where did those days go?'

So how are you guys doing? What's new with you? Anything exciting that I might have missed in the last month? Have you seen any good movies or read anything interesting - books or fic? Any television shows you're getting into now that the new seasons have started? Any new actors or actresses I should be watching for?

HOW DO YOU DO IT. So many deadlines, my head would explode. I would need to be institutionalized.

Well, school is making me want to in around in circles screaming even though it's not that bad, and it's raining outside. Oh, and I have to write something for j2fightscrime and I have an idea but I'm not allowed to write about it until I finish my first english paper. SHIT I NEED A DRAFT TODAY FUCK D:

But my icon makes me happy c:

From: [identity profile] raeschae.livejournal.com
I think yours is the harder situation to be in! The deadlines used to scare the hell out of me - that's why I never did any challenges - but now they give me some structure and something to work toward. For the most part, I have something due once a month, so it helps me to prioritize what I should work on next. And nobody's grading me on it, so I feel a lot less pressure than I would in your shoes!

You have veiny face Dean!

Date: 2010-09-27 01:58 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] gwaeren.livejournal.com
I have no problem with grading, I have a problem with having something due at this point exactly, with no leeway. It's just like Now? Right now? Can it be tomorrow? No? Can I avoid today? No? Can I give you what I have because there's this other thing that's been niggling at me... no? ;____; My priorities are shit.

I do! And I made it myself! If I knew how I would make his lips pinker and emphasize the lines of green but I don't have skills like that, so.

From: [identity profile] gwaeren.livejournal.com
Oh, I've tried many a time.

Luckily in english today there was all around confusion as to what we were supposed to be writing about. I got a draft typed up and printed, and though I missed peer editing she didn't mark me or anyone else down. And she moved the due date to next monday. \o/ Thank god, 'cause she's firm on the NO LATE WORK rule.

not much to tell on my end, am bored, unemployed, broke, living at home where my parents are driving me crazy, internet and LJ are the only things keeping me sane, and Merlin!

From: [identity profile] raeschae.livejournal.com
Aside from the unemployed, broke, and living at home parts, that doesn't sound so bad. ;)

I watched Merlin, series 1, but I haven't seen anything beyond that yet. I really enjoyed the first series, though. What year are they up to on television?

they are 3 episodes into season 3 - it's really improved since season one, evertyhing is bigger and better! you should start watching it again, then maybe I could send you a few unfinished fics of mine for help! i'm convinced any writing talent I have has dissapeared, I can't finish anything at the moment. I also have some Merlin music vids if you're interested :)

Absolutely amazing. You seriously need to see them live when they play remotely close to you. I'm not even kidding. I had to drive like an hour and a half but it was so freaking worth it even in the blistering heat. It was 100+ all day @ a race track so you know heat + asphalt = dehydration but Jared in a freaking jacket! doused the crowd with like a fireman's hose to cool us down a little. ;D

Between the heat making me stupid and being in the same place as Jared my hands where shaking too much so I didn't take pics but man, it was so awesome.

Pete's going to be a nice way to end this music tour.

And yeah, Pete will be a nice, mellow ending. And maybe Scarlet will show up for a couple songs?

Well I'm doing my first bigbang SPN_reverse like yourself which is kinda exciting and a little bit OMFG!

I'm currently unemployed but doing my Masters in Education fulltime, following on from my qualifying as a teacher last year, so I'm trying to find a part time job that won't clash with my Uni studies and will not demand I work every weekend or else I'll have no social life. Not that I really have one as such without any monies but meh.

TV wise? I don't really watch tv. I'm one of these people that will happily wait till things come out on boxset or I have several episodes saved up so I am not forced to wait an entire week. It boils down to me being incapable of waiting. I;ve not even finished Season 5 of SPN yet (though I know what happens) because the thought of Hellatus was too much.

On a random note I'm a little bit excited that Stephen Fry is apparently going to be starring in Sherlock Holmes 2 though and I'm going to my first ever music concert in November.

And now I read it back it makes it sound like it's your first big bang. Which it isn't. It's mine. I'm just incapable of typing sense right now >.<

Date: 2010-09-27 08:05 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] raeschae.livejournal.com
lol. I knew what you meant! I didn't see which art you claimed - have you talked to your artist yet? Do you know who it is? It's all very exciting! I can't wait to see the stories that come out of this one!!

Like you, I'm a big fan of boxsets! In fact, aside from SPN and White Collar, that's pretty much my preferred method of viewing everything. I'm not good with the waiting between episodes!

Date: 2010-09-27 09:28 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] blondie-lottie.livejournal.com
I have talked to my artist! Actually she's even on your flist by the look of things too hah. Small world and all that. It's a great image piece, I was really inspired actually by it so I've been lucky indeed for my first bigbang.

Glad to see I'm not the only impatient one with tv shows. My friends all think I'm odd because I will purposely miss several episodes so that I can have them saved up. Not to mention I cannot stand adverts.

I honestly don't know what I did before DVR and TV on DVD. Commercials drive me crazy now!

Everyone on my flist has been driven mad by September this year. It's kinda making me a little nuts too but there is so much exciting stuff happening in my life I am letting that overwhelm the crap.
Glad to have you back.

college is crazy busy and I'm dead tired=,=;

But! my sister recommended me to watch Six Feet Under, she says it's a reallly really good show, and I might start watching True Blood too. Maybe.

Also, I watch snippets of the show Hellcats cause Gale Harold (actor from Queer as Folk) is in it. I'm a complete dork for him. XD

And of course, I'm an avid watcher of Supernatural^_____^

Date: 2010-09-28 02:03 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] raeschae.livejournal.com
I did not know Gale Harold was on Hellcats. Is that show any good? I've been meaning to check it out.

I loved Six Feet Under in the first season. True Blood season 1 disc 1 sat on top of my television for, like, three months and I never could get myself to pop it in and watch it. I don't know why - I keep thinking I should try it, but I just don't care. :(

Date: 2010-09-28 03:04 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] veritas-conner.livejournal.com
well honestly? I didn't even know what Hellcats existed until I heard Gale was going to be on the show. It's a cheerleading show apparently, the main girl joins the cheerleading squad so she can get a scholarship, she studies law. That's about all I really know...o_o; (it's really not my typical thing to watch..XP)

And I keep hearing a lot about True Blood, and while I admit it never really caught my attention before, I have gotten kinda curious, I wanna see an episode just to see what all the hype is about.

hey, out of curiosity, have you ever heard of an old show called American Gothic? With Gary Cole?

Date: 2010-09-28 05:50 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] neutraldeviance.livejournal.com
OMFG! TrueBlood is so effing awesome I think it may egven top my love of Dean/Jensen it's so awesome! Of course...it's got Anna Paquin in it, whom I believe may just be a Goddess put on earth or something. Like...seriously.

But yeah, it's smart, fun, sexy...if you like a bunch of sex, blood and violence mixed in with a ton of supernatural storylines? It's totally the show for you. I own Seasons 1 and 2, mainly because I don't have cable. :(

You should totally check it out!

Date: 2010-09-28 04:24 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] veritas-conner.livejournal.com
lol, yeah, that's what a friend of mine says.

I probably will sometime during the break from college;)

AFter all, there's nothing like sex, blood and violence with supernatural storylines^____^

Date: 2010-09-28 09:19 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] raeschae.livejournal.com
I'll have to check Hellcats out - I've been curious.

American Gothic sounds vaguely familiar, but I don't think I really watched it. Why?

Date: 2010-09-28 11:39 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] veritas-conner.livejournal.com
Nah, just curious myself.

I used to watch it a while back, and I thought it was amazing, probably the best horror/gothic show before Supernatural.

I have no time for anything right now, school started back up and Chem is kicking my fucking ass! I'm lucky to get on here every couple of days. The only thing I made it a point to watch was SPN last Friday. Oh wait, right now I'm watching World of Jenks, so far it's cool.

Date: 2010-09-28 02:27 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] raeschae.livejournal.com
I don't know what that is - what's it about?

Chem. Blech. Math and science were never my strong suits!

Were you glad you made it a point to watch the show last week? I haven't said much about my opinion one way or the other, but I'm curious as to what other people think.

Date: 2010-09-28 02:52 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] blackpanther07.livejournal.com
It's about this guy Andrew Jenks, he finds different people who are from all walks of life and he lives with them for one week and films it. This week was an someone trying to break into MMA fighting, last week was a homeless woman. It's really pretty interesting.
yeah mine either, math I can do, I mean of course it takes some learning how to do it but I can do it. This Chem shit is fucking blowing my mind, I have no idea how I'm gonna do it.
I think that in the long run SPN will either dissapoint or it will not, either way I will watch because it is the last season. I didn't like Dean, he made me just kinda laugh at him, just kinda like "wtf" Sam I actually liked his attitude, it's kinda like he finally realized that as much as he wants Dean he doesn't HAVE to have him, he CAN take care of himself, he kinda grew up a bit. His attitude was similar to his cousins, the loner, take no bs, I can do it myself attitude, and I appreciated it, he's been leaning on Dean for 5 seasons, it's about time he grows up.
I would like to know what you thought?

Date: 2010-09-28 09:32 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] raeschae.livejournal.com
OH YEAH! That show debuted after the VMAs. I thought it looked fascinating and then I forgot about it. :)

There are things about the episode that I loved and there were things that really bothered me. All in all, I felt a little unfulfilled, but I'm anxious to see where things are headed.

I'm still catching up on LJ from weeks back, and I have a couple of your recent stories to read. Slowly but surely. That's my motto right now.

I completely understand about the new babies taking over your life. It's quite easy for them to do so. And they're worth it, too!

Nothing much has been going on with me. Had a check-up at the doctor today for my ankle/foot and thing are progressing well. If they keep in the same track, so surgery for me! :D

Well, actually...hmmm.

Nope. Not much is new. lol

Oh...I got hooked up with a personal trainer. (no, not that way. Get your mind outta the gutter!) but he seems totally nice and hopefully he'll be able to help guide me to a leaner, healthier me! w00h00!

Um...well over the weekend I did watch The ToothFairy (with the Rock) and The Men Who Stare at Goats (with George Clooney and Jeff Bridges). Both of them were absolutely HILARIOUS and I 100% recommend them! IN fact...the Men who Stare at Dogs got me to going on an SPN fic idea (or it would work for J2 as well). But they are both funny as hell.

Um....I've decided on what my halloween costume for work is going to be! Me and a few other people are doing our own versions of the Addams family...there's going to be adult stripper Wednesday, Naughty Morticia, Gomez, Pugsly...and I'M going to be...GOTH ROCK SUPERSTAR UNCLE FESTER! hahaaha (and none of them know it yet, but I will be shaving my head to do this. I KNOW! right?)

Um...so yeah. I guess that's pretty much all that's been happening with me. OH! I'm still working on your b-day fic...looks like it's going to be a super belated b-day fic...but it will get there, I promise! LoL

Hi! I had an awesome start to the week. I got a job on Monday! *is excited* Now I just have to find a new flat, move house and buy all new furniture... *is exhausted already*

But there'll be the first niece or nephew in eight months as well, so all is good ^____^

I had the pleasure of watching the new Julia Roberts movie ('Eat, Pray, Love'), and I was pleasantly surprised. Very moving, great acting (I Love Julia Roberts ^.^), sometimes the cut of the movie was a bit rocky, and some scenes could have been longer. But I enjoyed it greatly (and shed a few tears, I know) and would highly recommend it.

Have a beautiful week and plenty of sunshine (even if it's only in our heads at the moment *sigh*).
Hugs, Mutzel

I haven't seen Eat Pray Love, but I've heard that it's pretty good. I'll have to check it out when it hits dvd.

Sunshine to you, too, sweetie! Thank you so much!
