So, I woke up at 5:30 this morning with an upset stomach and starting watching The World Series of Poker on ESPN, as you do, until it was time to get ready for work. It was there that I heard this quote (I have no idea who to credit for this as I know nothing about the pro Poker circuit. I know he was wearing a hat. And sunglasses.): "Lady Luck hangs out with the guys who practice hard." So, uh, let that inspire you? I don't know, I just liked it. I was also sick, so take it for what it's worth, I guess.

So, I decided to pinch hit for the spn_fs_exchange and am currently putting the finishing touches on that fic, then I'm clear until j2_afterclass in January. Well, I have a hs_bingo card to play with but it's not due until May so I'm, ya know, procrastinating.

I ♥ you guys, but I suck at holiday cards and gifts. What I can do is comment fic. Here are the stipulations:

1.) Fic will be roughly 1000 words.
2.) No pairing is off-limits.
3.) You can request more than one prompt but I can only promise one fill per person, so make sure the fic you most want to see is prompted first.
4.) Prompts can be holiday-themed but they don't have to be, unless they come from the Disclaimer 'verse.

Jumping off of the couch, Jensen shouts, “I have an idea!” before he runs into the kitchen.

When he returns, he's carrying two giant coffee mugs, carefully balancing them as he moves. Jared glances at the milky liquid when Jensen hands it over. “Egg nog?” he asks skeptically.

Jensen nods as though he's proud of himself. “Technically, more rum than 'nog but I figure we can get shit-faced and you can fuck me over the back of this couch. Ho, ho, ho.”

For as long as Jared has known him, the only thing Jensen has liked about Christmas is the week he gets to take off from work. Even as they toast, Jared is tilting his head to consider this new guy, who seems to want to celebrate more than Jared usually does. “What's gotten into you?”

Eggnog sticking to his upper lip, Jensen smiles at Jared when he admits, “Mostly rum, I think.”

So here are Jared's options, as he sees them: a.) he can mope around for the next three weeks, pitying himself for spending his favorite holiday without his family, or b.) he can get drunk off his ass, fuck Jensen pretty much non-stop, and enjoy the fact that he's spending this time with a guy he's pretty crazy about.

Raising his mug to clink it against Jensen's, he says, “Hurry up and get drunk so I can have clumsy, dirty sex with you.”

“That's the spirit.”

They're naked, sweating, and far too drunk to function when Danneel returns a couple of hours later. She takes one look at them, spins on her heel, and heads for the door. Over her shoulder, they hear her call, “That's not what the tinsel is for!”

Jared lets his gaze drift over Jensen's naked body, resting on the glittering tinsel. “Looks better on you than it would on the tree.” With a grunt, he struggles to sit. “We should probably get this stuff put up at some point,” he says, nudging one of the boxes with his foot.

Letting out a pitiful moan, Jensen rolls his head against the floor and meets Jared's eye. “Gonna have to give me a minute 'fore I can move.” His eyes are closed but his lips quirk into an satisfied smirk. “Your heart may be two sizes too small, Mr. Grinch, but the rest of you is awesomely gigantic.”
