So, I woke up at 5:30 this morning with an upset stomach and starting watching The World Series of Poker on ESPN, as you do, until it was time to get ready for work. It was there that I heard this quote (I have no idea who to credit for this as I know nothing about the pro Poker circuit. I know he was wearing a hat. And sunglasses.): "Lady Luck hangs out with the guys who practice hard." So, uh, let that inspire you? I don't know, I just liked it. I was also sick, so take it for what it's worth, I guess.

So, I decided to pinch hit for the spn_fs_exchange and am currently putting the finishing touches on that fic, then I'm clear until j2_afterclass in January. Well, I have a hs_bingo card to play with but it's not due until May so I'm, ya know, procrastinating.

I ♥ you guys, but I suck at holiday cards and gifts. What I can do is comment fic. Here are the stipulations:

1.) Fic will be roughly 1000 words.
2.) No pairing is off-limits.
3.) You can request more than one prompt but I can only promise one fill per person, so make sure the fic you most want to see is prompted first.
4.) Prompts can be holiday-themed but they don't have to be, unless they come from the Disclaimer 'verse.

Hot chocolate finished, Adrianne sets her mug aside and waits for Jensen to do the same. When she does, Adrianne crawls forward and settles herself on Jensen's thigh, legs wrapped around her back and arms looped around her shoulders.

“You're gonna call me while I'm gone, right?” she whispers, their lips brushing with each word.

Her smile feels forced when she nods. “I'm not the one with a bajillion plans, though,” she answers, fingers playing idly with the smooth skin at the small of Adrianne's back. “Probably better if you call me.”

“You can still come with me,” Adrianne offers, as she has about forty times already.

A part of Jensen wants to go. Every time Adrianne mentions it, Jensen is tempted. Her own family doesn't do much on Christmas – they give each other cash and then spend the rest of the day in separate rooms of the house – so it might be nice to see how Adrianne's does things.

Without admitting as much, she says, “I'm sure your parents would love that.”

Adrianne's not in the closet, exactly. Everyone at school knows that they're together and most of her friends back home do, too. She's also told her parents that she has a girlfriend but they're big fans of the 'what we don't see does not exist' theory.

“They're going to have to get used to it sometime, Jen.” Adrianne closes the tiny distance between them and kisses Jensen softly.

“Yeah, but Christmas probably isn't that time.” The temptation is strong, stronger now that she can see Adrianne's suitcase from the corner of her eye. “You deserve to have an awesome vacation.”

“How does me in Ohio, you here, both of us wishing we were together equal an awesome vacation?” Her eyes are sparkling when she tangles her fingers into the hair at the back of Jensen's head. “Come with me. Road trip. Covert sex in my childhood bed. More food than you can possibly eat. Snow. How are you saying no to this?”

“Will you wear your old cheerleading uniform for me?” When Adrianne nods, Jensen laughs. “I guess it is kinda pathetic to spend our first Christmas together alone in my room, cleaning out my iPod, huh?”

Adrianne's giggle is loud and joyful as she pushes Jensen back and lets her hair fall around their faces.

It might be awkward, possibly even painful, but at least they'll go through it together.

jensen gave in so easily. but then again, i would have too. especially with promises of "Covert sex in my childhood bed"
