So, I woke up at 5:30 this morning with an upset stomach and starting watching The World Series of Poker on ESPN, as you do, until it was time to get ready for work. It was there that I heard this quote (I have no idea who to credit for this as I know nothing about the pro Poker circuit. I know he was wearing a hat. And sunglasses.): "Lady Luck hangs out with the guys who practice hard." So, uh, let that inspire you? I don't know, I just liked it. I was also sick, so take it for what it's worth, I guess.

A giant THANK YOU to [livejournal.com profile] kiwiana for the Katie/Genevieve fic she wrote me in the [livejournal.com profile] spn_fs_exchange, Those Nights Belong to Us. If femslash is your thing, check it out!

So, I decided to pinch hit for the [livejournal.com profile] spn_fs_exchange and am currently putting the finishing touches on that fic, then I'm clear until [livejournal.com profile] j2_afterclass in January. Well, I have a [livejournal.com profile] hs_bingo card to play with but it's not due until May so I'm, ya know, procrastinating.

I ♥ you guys, but I suck at holiday cards and gifts. What I can do is comment fic. Here are the stipulations:

1.) Fic will be roughly 1000 words.
2.) No pairing is off-limits.
3.) You can request more than one prompt but I can only promise one fill per person, so make sure the fic you most want to see is prompted first.
4.) Prompts can be holiday-themed but they don't have to be, unless they come from the Disclaimer 'verse.

ETA: All prompts have been filled!

Either Jared thinks he's sneaky or he thinks Jensen is dumb. Jensen's not really amused with either option.

“You ready for lunch?” he asks, showing up on the set of Jared's latest movie to find Jared sitting next to the director, both critically considering the living room set up they're supposed to start shooting.

“I will be,” Jared answers, distractedly looping an arm out to secure it tight around Jensen's waist, tugging him in until their shoulders brush. “Soon as someone decides to follow some simple instructions!” His voice raises a little on the end; Jensen hates it when Jared's voice raises. Jared is big and slightly terrifying when he's angry.

Pulling away, he steps to his left, folding his arms next to the PA for this project, a guy Jensen used to work with a lot named Matt. He's good, as good as Jensen, so Jensen knows that this is probably more on Jared or the director than it is on the stage hands and assistants.

“What's goin' on?” he asks.

Matt huffs. “Had 'em redecorate the tree four times. Now that it's to their liking, the gifts are piled wrong.”

“So get in there an fix 'em,” Jensen suggests, his stomach grumbling as a reminder that he hasn't eaten yet today.

“They've fired everyone who's fucked it up so far. I ain't touchin' that thing.”

“Oh, for fuck's sake,” Jensen sighs, moving back to Jared's side. With a hand on his shoulder, he leans in and asks, “What's wrong with the damn presents, Jared?”

“Everything.”

“That's helpful.” Rolling his eyes, Jensen pushes his sleeves up to his elbows and walks over to the tree on the corner of the set. He drops to his knees and rearranges the presents until they're exactly as the ones he arranged in their living room at home. Occasionally, he calls for a bow or turns a box a little to catch the light, but it only takes him about ten minutes. If Jared doesn't like it, it's not like he can fire Jensen.

Which is, coincidentally, why he insists on not working with the guy since they started dating. Getting fired by his boyfriend would put a serious kink in their relationship, and not the kind of kink that Jared is so very fond of, either.

Wiping the dust off his hands, he makes his way over to Jared's chair, only to have Jared grab his tee shirt in a fist and pull him forward, kissing him fast and dirty. “You're a genius.”

Jensen turns to find Matt smirking at him. “He said you'd do it the way he wanted it when you got here,” he informs Jensen.

As much as he'd like to be upset that Jared thinks he's so easily played, Jensen isn't surprised by the revelation.

They break for lunch, Jared threatening anyone's job who so much as breathes near the tree before rising to his feet and making his way over to Jensen. “What?” he asks when he finds Jensen glaring at him and Matt laughing. Then, with a sly grin, he adds, “If you weren't so stubborn, I wouldn't have to be sneaky.”

Jensen lets Jared throw an arm around his shoulder, leading him off of the sound stage. “Oh, you're not as sneaky as you think you are.”

*big ass grin*
Oh sneaky Jared, you are so transparent. Specially for someone who makes his living anticipating other peoples needs and wishes. They really should just suck it up and work together.
It can be done you know. I know it works perfectly for mr F and me :-)
