Way back in the day, when I first started posting the first Disclaimer, [livejournal.com profile] anifsemaj taught me how to make a master list. Since Disclaimer is now a monster that devours half of my master list, I've decided to break them into two separate posts. Here you'll find all things Disclaimer. Check the other sticky post for all of my other fics!

All of the story links have been updated to take you to the dreamwidth posts, but the extras still link back to livejournal. Maybe I'll switch them over someday. ;)

I haven't quite read through everything in this 'verse yet, but I'm getting there. I just need to tell you how crazy wonderful it is before I go back to doing that. ^^ I was quite litterally in tears by the end of We Will Not Be Held Responsible and pretty much hooked on the 'verse. It's an absolutely beautiful story.

The way you write the characters is pretty amazing. I love the fact that they're all so real. Even if they're good people generaly, they screw up or do some seriously shitty things now and then. It's not all black and white. Even Brayden's dad, who I still think I should hate but kind of don't really, isn't all bad. He can't be all bad if Brayden still loves him as much as he does. And Jensen's parents in the Christmas fic seem like some of the most awesome parents ever, especially Donna, and they still managed to spectacularily screw things up with Jensen.

Speaking of the Christmas fic; that email Jensen sent his mom pretty much broke my heart. Because it seemed so obvious that he loved her and that he knew that he was pretty sure that she loved him and that she really does want for him to be happy. It's completely heartbreaking to think that despite all that things had still ended up the way they did between them ten years back. Because the fact that a family loves each other should be enough, it should be enough to get you through all the things you don't agree on, except that sometimes it just isn't enough.

That sort of brings me around to why I adore the relationship between the boys. The fact that they love each other so much that even when things get really bad they don't even think about leaving, even when they absolutely suck at talking about all the shit they should talk about to work it out. The boys just fit together. The way you write them together just makes me feel like it's that forever kind of thing, you know like the fairy tale kind of love, but real. Also, I want their sex life. Might be a bit difficult with my lack of boy parts and all, but you know... Damn.

Oh, and your Jensen... I can't decide if I think he's completely hot or just incredibly adorable. See I've never really understood the Jensen Ackles is so pretty thing that most people seem to agree on, I mean I sort of see what people are talking about, but I just don't really feel it. But this Jensen with the hair and the eyeliner and... everything. I'll just go and sigh over your manips for a while now. ^^;

Ah, long comment is long... and slightly random.

Thanks so much for the wonderful 'verse.

Um, wow. I've been waiting to respond to you so that I could have the time to address this. I'm kind of blown away by this, so first of all, thank you so much for all of your kind words.

It's really important to me to create characters that feel real, so it means so much that you thought so. I also sort of love that you even see the good in Rick because of Brayden's love for him. Same principle applies to Jensen's parents, I think. I'm a firm believer that every parent does the very best they know how to do. That doesn't excuse the fact that some of them (like Rick) don't bother to figure out how to do it right, but I'd like to believe they don't start out thinking, "How can I fuck this kid up royally?"

In regards to the Christmas fic, it's one of my favorites. Jensen's e-mail was supposed to be a way to explain everything that had gone on in the verse to that point to people who hadn't read it before, but it ended up being a way to show how much he really wanted his mommy to be proud of him. Because the fact that a family loves each other should be enough, it should be enough to get you through all the things you don't agree on, except that sometimes it just isn't enough. It's not always enough to hold things together, but I kind of think that sometimes it's enough to bring it all back around again, ya know?

All I really wanted to do when I started this verse was write some established relationship fic - a couple of guys who are in it together until the end. Guys who don't know how to talk about what they're going through, like you said, but who can't imagine going through it without each other. Their entire relationship is sort of the anti-fairy tale. I'm a firm believer that the really good stuff about relationships gets glossed over with 'happily-ever-after.' I'm glad you like it, too!

I'll take your words about Jensen as high praise - I love, love, love when someone says I swayed their opinion about someone with my fics, so that's awesome.

Again, thank you so much for your long comment - it really means a lot that you love the verse and took the time to let me know it. ♥
