Disclaimer Comment Fic

Okay, so I'm about to get ready to head to work, but I wanted to let you all know that the next installment in the Disclaimer Verse is coming. I'll post it on Monday, and I'm saving it for reasons you will find out on that day.

In the meantime, I'm itching to write something short and sweet . . . Last time I offered up comment fic, it wasn't that specific, but this time, I really wanna write some short Disclaimer. Conversations, snippets, nothing over 1,000 words. I'm going to try to keep them to 500. So don't prompt me with something epic, but if there's a short little something you'd like to see, let me know and I'll try to get it up in the next forty-eight to seventy-two hours, depending on the demand.

I don't put time limits on most of these posts, but this one will close on Sunday, April 11.

OH, and just so you know, it doesn't have to be J2. I'll write anyone in the Disclaimer Verse.

ETA: As much fun as this has been (and it really has been awesome!), this meme is now closed. Twisting his hands into the view of the camera, he nods toward the single letters just below his thumbs. “We both have the TJ on our hands, 'cause we vacation there sometimes.” It's so much bigger than that, but Jared's not about to tell the viewing audience that he owns a house in Tijuana and that he and Jensen go get naked and fuck each other stupid there whenever possible.

With a chuckle, he looks at the letters again. “Funny story? His are backwards. His 'T' and 'J'? If you look at 'em from his point of view, they're backwards. I'm pretty focused most of the time, but he had me all distracted that day and I put them in the wrong order.” He runs a hand through his hair and can't help smiling at the memory into the camera. “It's cool, ya know? He still knows what they stand for.”

He doesn't add the fact that, in the order Jensen has them on his hands – the 'J' first, and then the 'T' – they're Jared's initials. And, no, he didn't do it on purpose, but Jensen's not wrong when he says it looks like Jared branded him. Simple letters staking his claim. Jared's okay with the happy coincidence.

“Who does your art, Jared?”

“Mostly my crew here. I have a few pieces that other friends of mine have done, but I have at least one piece from everyone here. Chad does a lot of them. Sophia's done a couple. Steve did the tiger on my back. Katie did the Mayhem one on my stomach. That's one of Bray's nicknames, so she hooked me up on that.”

He stands from his chair and lifts his shirt, the homage to his kid emblazoned across his hard abs. It starts red in one corner and gradually shifts to black on the other end. Her color work is some of the best Jared has ever seen.

“Can you talk about the 'J'? Put the debate to bed once and for all?”

For some reason, the origin of the 'J' on his sternum has apparently become cause for great internet debate. Jared thinks it's hilarious that so many people care.

With a shake of his head, he just smirks. Some things are just his, and only his, to know for sure. “What do you think?”

This Jared doesn't need the world to know about Jensen to have his relationship validated, but he's kind of crazy about the kid (I don't know if you've noticed), so it's not THAT hard to talk about him, when prompted to do so. ;)

This Jared, while being slightly more subdued than we've come to know the real-life Jared to be, is not shy. He's not afraid to be himself, but there are a lot of things that he doesn't think anyone else needs to know. Also, he's kind of insanely protective of his family, so he picks and chooses what people are allowed to know about them. ;)

And thank you - I'm glad you liked it! At first, I was like 'It's only a thousand words - I can't talk about all of his tats! But then I reconsidered, and there you go. It was a good way to talk about some of the ink you never see from manips.

I love it when you reveal tattoo details like that. Not sure there are many things hotter. *g* With your photo manipulations, it's easy to picture how the art must look on their bodies.
(You seen The Salton Sea? I bet you'd love the art on Kilmer's body in that one if you haven't. Mrrrr.)

I did a base manip one time of most of Jared's tats, just so I would know where they are to describe them. I haven't done his back, but I do have one that represents his front. It's not actually a picture of Jared - just a body type that reminded me of him, being as we have not yet convinced him to pose in his underwear so I can manip him for real.

I'm workin' on it, though. ;)

The ideas are easy - they came from you. Well, everybody who submitted prompts. The words? I don't know where they came from, either. This verse just kind of flows for me.

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked all of them. It was so much to spend a week just writing those boys, and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. So I'm glad you are, too!
